Alejandro Jantus

Biography

Alejandro Gastón Jantus Lordi de Sobremonte, was sworn in on February 7, 2014, as the Delegate for Communication of the World Organization for International Relations (WOIR). He also served as Assistant to the President for Media Affairs and Senior Advisor to the Secretary-General for Energy and Climate Change. In 2015, he was elected President of the WOIR and, at present, he is also Chairman of Euronet, an international consulting firm.

He is Associate Professor in Social Psicology at Istituto Superiore di Finanza e Organizzazione Aziendale in Switzerland, and he is also a Founding Member and Chairman of Compañía Nacional de Negocios S.A., a Founding Member and President of Expo Luxe, a member of the board of directors of International Agency for Media and Public Relations, a member of the board of directors of Development Society, and a Founding Member and President of International Center for Social Research.

Among the awards Dr. Jantus has received have been a Guard of Honour Distinguished Badge from the INGORTP in 1991 with seven decoration in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998; the Medal of Knight of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus in 1999; and the Medal of Officer of the Order of Merit of Savoy in 2001.

Dr. Jantus was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1971. He served as a journalist for more than thirty years, and has been Editor-in-Chief of many publications, including World and Pleasure, Notiziario Cnn, Wanted in Buenos Aires, Scaccomatto, and The EEC Calendar.

He graduated summa cum laude from Universidad del Salvador (USAL) and received Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (USAL), Bachelor of Arts with highest distinction in Communication Studies (Università di Cassino) Bachelor of Laws in Law, Master Degree in Journalism, Doctor of Philosophy Equivalent Degree in International Relations.

Dr. Jantus also participated in many seminars and workshops, including:
